Returns & Refunds

How we work

Every print and original is prepared with care — archival papers and inks for reproductions, and hand-finished oils for one-of-a-kind pieces. Buying art online should feel considered, not risky. This policy exists so you know what to expect if something doesn't work out after delivery.

We're a small studio, not a big-box décor warehouse: when you write in, you're talking to real people who want you to be happy with what hangs on your wall.

What you can return

Subject to the time windows and condition rules below, we accept returns on fine art prints (unframed or framed through our checkout) and, in limited cases, original paintings as described in the originals section.

We do notsell furniture, gift cards, or unrelated merchandise — so those categories don't appear here. Everything in the shop is artwork or artwork-related.

• Generally returnable: unframed prints, framed prints (see fees by size), and sale-priced prints unless the product page says otherwise.
• Original oils: handled case by case (see below) because each painting is unique and shipping is specialized.
• Commissions: custom work made to your specifications is not eligible for preference returns — only for damage or documented error.

Fine art prints (unframed)

You may initiate a return within 14 days of delivery if the print is unused, undamaged, and still in its original protective packaging. We'll send a prepaid return label where available; a flat return-shipping deduction (currently $8) is subtracted from your refund so we can cover carrier costs.

Framed prints (through our configurator)

Framed work is bulky and costly to move safely. Returns are still possible within 14 days of delivery when the frame and print are in like-new condition and repacked well. Fees reflect the size bracket we shipped:

• Up to 30″ × 30″ overall (typical small/medium): $40 flat return fee, deducted from refund; we provide the label and repacking notes.
• Larger framed pieces (longest side above 30″): $199 flat return fee, deducted from refund, with label and step-by-step packing guidance.
• Very large framed work (roughly over 40″ × 60″): not eligible for standard mail-back in every case. Contact us — we'll discuss freight options, partial refunds, or other solutions that protect both you and the piece.

Original oil paintings

Originals are one-of-a-kind and insured shipping varies by size. If you're unsure before you buy, ask questions or request more photos — we're glad to help.

For preference returns (not damage), eligibility and restocking or return-shipping costs are agreed in writing before you ship anything back. Smaller works may qualify within 14 days; larger pieces may require a custom quote. We don't accept surprise returns without prior approval — it protects the painting and you.

Condition & timing

• Items must look unused: no marks, dents, torn mats, or missing hardware on frames.
• Use original packaging when possible. If it was discarded, tell us — we may suggest materials or an alternate resolution.
• Start your return within 14 days of delivery unless we've agreed otherwise in email.

Refund timing

After we receive and inspect your return, we issue a refund to your original payment method, minus any applicable return fees from the table below. Please allow up to 7 business days after we process the return for funds to show on your statement (banks vary).

Why we spell this out

Plenty of small art brands hide behind "all sales final" for everything. We'd rather be upfront: returns on custom-framed and large work cost real money to move safely, but we still want you to feel supported if the fit isn't right — especially on standard print sizes where we can streamline the process.
